LOCATING A PANEL or PAGE
Although Chick tract pages are not numbered, they are easy to count because there are usually only 24 pages per tract (counting both covers).
Since there are so few pages, Chick collectors count the outside cover as page one, the inside cover as page two, etc etc. Page 24 would be the outside back cover. This is different from regular comics which don't count the covers as pages. But then again, comic books don't usually start the story on the inside cover either!
If there is a "A" or "B" after the page number, that indicates the first (A) half or the second (B) half of the panel. So if a viewer opens the cover of a tract, the first panel they see is on PAGE TWO and the opposing page (normally page one) is actually PAGE THREE. If there are two images on that page, the first one would be page 3A, the second would be page 3B.
