Chick Publications makes it on the Mike Gallagher Show! Gallagher is an up-and-coming conservative talk radio host who rivals Rush Limbaugh for national attention. His program is on over 200 stations and reportedly has 2.75 million weekly listeners across the United States.

Gallagher read The Curse of Baphomet on the air! He said this was a little book put out by "Chick Publications of Ontario, California."

Basically, Gallagher was intrigued with the tract and started reading it. The Masons and Shriners are satanic? He couldn't believe it! Aren't the Shriners the law-abidding people who care for burn victims and help sick children?

After commenting on how interesting it sounded, he opened the phone lines up to the whole country. A caller who said he was a 32 degree Mason also read the tract. He did not slam Chick Publications. The caller said that although Chick Publications were well meaning people, the tract was misinformed about the truth of Masonry. Gallagher made an impressive move when he told the caller that the tract seems to document and back up its charges. The caller was unpersuaded, and said that an internet search could find both pro and con Masonic information. The Mason also made the charge that Billy Graham was a 33 degree Mason by invitation, so this MUST mean that Masonry (with roots in America and Great Britain) could not POSSIBLY be satanic! Another caller was sympathetic with Chick, and said that the tracts had a harmless message of leading people to Jesus with a born again message, but that the tract "The Death Cookie" was particularly insulting with its charges that the Catholic Communion was evil. Other tracts, the caller said, implied that the Pope was the Antichrist. (Implied????? The caller doesn't read enough Chick, since Chick Publications DOES call the Papacy the Antichrist!)

Gallagher, a former Catholic, didn't comment on this, except to say that he "doesn't know about this Curse of Baphomet stuff." This ended the segment. Jack T. Chick is so much in the conscience of mainstream America, that the tracts generate national attention! Way to go, Jack!

Thanks Rich. Someone called and recorded a few segments on my answering machine for me. I was amazed that caller claimed Billy Graham was a Mason, and that proved Masonry couldn't be Satanic. Billy Graham can deliver good sermons, but he's also very Ecumenical. He's wishy-washy about Fundamentalist beliefs, back peddling for Clinton's adultery and inferring Jews and Muslims will go to heaven since we all worship the same God. Chick would find these positions anathema, along with Graham's abandonment of the King James Bible.

That being said, I have also heard that Billy Graham is NOT a Mason, but that George Washington, J. Edgar Hoover, Jesse Helms, and Jesse Jackson are. For a list, go here and here. For a short but amusing list of Mason embarrassments, go here. They try to downplay Benedict Arnold's treachery but practically beg forgiveness for famous Masons who were politically incorrect (like Henry Ford and George Wallace.) Isn't that typical P.C. priorities? It's okay to betray your country and democracy, just don't offend any minorities! Haw-haw-haw!
